Welcome

Sainte-Camelle is an old farmstead in the Midi-Pyrenees, South-France.
When we found it in 1994, Sainte-Camelle was a ruin.

With the help of friends we were able to reconstruct it for the biggest part and adjust it to modern standards.
St. Victor-Rouzaud Sainte-Camelle lies beautifully detached near a small village, St. Victor-Rouzaud, to which it belongs. It has a magnificent view over the often snow covered mountain tops of the Pyrenees.

Pyrenees To the farmstead belong 20 hectare forest and fields, where one, during walks, can meet many animals like roe, hare and even boar. Ourselves we have two Belgian sheepdogs, Roscoe and Decie, and two donkeys.

Next to the land lies a relatively big lake that belongs to our neighbour, a big farmer. He uses the lake in summer to irrigate his crops. It is natural and clean water where many fish live. Our guests can use this lake to swim.
Sainte Camelle Farmstead Gîte
Sainte-Camelle consists out of two houses: The big old farmstead where we, Eric and Maggi, live. In this building there is also the pottery and a woodwork place.
The other building used to be a hay barn, which we have totally rebuilt. Now this is the guesthouse that we let all year to our guests. The guesthouse is suitable for 10 persons. Around the guesthouse there is nothing but nature!
Around us we have many recreational opportunities: horse riding, walks in the hills or the mountains and in the winter skiing.
